It is with profound sadness and a heavy heart that we inform you of the sudden and untimely passing of Shri K. S. Sheshadri, Deputy General Secretary of NFTE (BSNL). He left us unexpectedly this morning at 4:00 am at Jhansi Medical College. Shri Sheshadri was traveling by train to Delhi to attend the Wage Revision Committee meeting scheduled for 3:00 pm on 23rd October 2024. During the journey, before reaching Jhansi, he experienced severe discomfort. The railway personnel assisted him out of the coach and took him to Jhansi Medical College and Hospital, where he sadly breathed his last at around 4:00 AM.
AIGETOA CHQ prays to the almighty to provide his family with sufficient strength and courage to tide over the crisis and for bearing this irreparable loss. We also pray so that the eternal soul rests in peace.

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) proudly unveiled its new logo at a ceremony held on October 22, 2024 in New Delhi, symbolizing the company’s renewed commitment to providing secure, affordable, and reliable connectivity across the country. The logo was launched by the Honorable Union Minister of Communications and Development of the North-East Region, Shri Jyotiraditya M Scindia, alongside the Honorable Minister of State for Communications and Rural Development, Dr. Pemmasani Chandra Sekhar. The event, hosted at Bharat Sanchar Bhavan, also saw the presence of senior officials from the Department of Telecommunications, BSNL, and other key industry stakeholders.
A New Identity: Logo Design and Meaning

• Spam! Free Network: BSNL has rolled out an automatic spam-blocking solution that filters out phishing attempts and malicious SMS. This initiative ensures a safer communication environment without the need for constant alerts, providing users with seamless and secure interactions.
Affordability Initiatives
• BSNL National Wi-Fi Roaming: This first-of-its-kind seamless Wi-Fi roaming service enables high-speed internet access for BSNL’s FTTH customers at various hotspots, eliminating extra charges and minimizing data costs.
• BSNL IFTV: BSNL launches India’s first fiber-based intranet TV service, offering over 500 live channels and Pay TV to FTTH subscribers at no additional cost, with data usage not counted against their FTTH data packs.
• Any Time SIM (ATS) Kiosks: BSNL introduces automated SIM kiosks that allow customers to purchase, upgrade, port, or replace SIM cards anytime, utilizing UPI/QR-enabled payments and multi-lingual access, all while ensuring seamless KYC integration.
Reliability Initiatives
• Direct-to-Device Service: India’s first Direct-to-Device (D2D) connectivity solution merges satellite and terrestrial mobile networks for uninterrupted communication, especially crucial in emergencies and isolated areas, supporting UPI payments even in remote locations.
• Public Protection & Disaster Relief: BSNL has developed a secure, scalable network for disaster response, providing guaranteed encrypted communication for government and relief agencies during crises. This innovative network design, supported by drone and balloon-based systems, ensures continuous connectivity during emergencies.
• First Private SG in Mines: Partnering with C-DAC, BSNL introduces reliable, low-latency connectivity for mining operations, utilizing Made-in-India equipment. This service enhances advanced AI and IoT applications, ensuring safety and operational efficiency in underground and opencast mines.

As many executives reported that due to festive season and holidays, they couldn’t fill up the IPMS Achievements, AIGETOA Pursued with authorities to extend the window for a brief period. On our request RESTG cell has extended the window for two days.

As a follow up to our discussions and deliberations with CMD BSNL on 3rd and 4th October, Team AIGETOA had follow up discussions with the unit heads dealing with various issues yesterday. After our meeting, it is understood that CMD BSNL has taken a review meeting on Monday, the 14th October 2024, with the whole HR group to deliberate upon how to move forward with the resolution over various issues flagged by AIGETOA. Hopefully we are going to see a positive outcome on some of the major issues in the near future.
Team AIGETOA is diligently working and following up on all the issues. We are committed to convert the assurances made to us into results and are taking all the efforts to ensure the same.
It is further to inform that some negative forces’ are also working in full gear who themselves are doing nothing but reaching management every now and then with objections that why support association is being granted so much privilege and meetings. However, we will not allow such negative forces to prevail and will ensure that now when things are coming back to track, no group or persons derail the resolution.
