As per the AIGETOA CHQ notification for the All India Conference dated 28th November 2024, to be held at Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, from 9th February 2025 to 11th February 2025, nominations are now open for the New Governing Body of AIGETOA CHQ for the term 2025-2028.
The nomination window is from 20th January 2025 to 25th January 2025. Any valid member of the association can file their nominations.
GS AIGETOA writes to CMD BSNL for urgent intervention regarding the uploading of approved documents to EPFO Portal for All BSNL Recruited Employees who had already submitted their EPF Higher Pension Option applications to BSNL and ensuring 100% submission to EPFO by deadline of 31.01.2025.

As per the recent press release by EPFO, the last date for employers to submit the approved copies of higher pension option applications to the EPFO portal is 31.01.2025. Despite previous instructions and guidelines from BSNL Corporate Office, hundreds of EPF higher pension option applications are still pending for approval and uploading. Many Account Units have cited difficulties in accessing old data, particularly for employees transferred before the 2009-2010 period. However, as per the EPF & MP Act, 1952, it remains the employer’s responsibility to retain payroll records, and these challenges should not hinder timely submissions.
It is a well-established fact that BSNL directly Recruited employees of BSNL are not protected by any statutory pension or medical schemes. Their only remaining support post-retirement is the SAB (Superannuation Benefit) contributions. This association has also pursued legal remedies to ensure the implementation of EPF higher pension options, which are now being implemented. Therefore, the exclusion of any eligible employee who has opted for the higher pension scheme is unacceptable.
AIGETOA demands the BSNL Management that the responsibility be directly fixed for any exclusion from the EPFO portal upload, and if any eligible employee is excluded, BSNL will be held liable for the pension disbursement at the rates calculated by EPFO for each and every omitted employee.
BSNL CO has issued clarification to address queries received regarding the Online Rule-8 Transfer process. These clarifications are issued in consultation with the ERP (HCM) unit and are intended to streamline and standardize transfer procedures across circles.
With regard to AGM LICE Court case, the issue of delay in judgement was once again highlighted.
BSNL has already done the mentioning. If the judgment is not pronounced this week, The Senior Advocate shall be visiting Chandigarh next week CAT for mentioning by the senior.
Team AIGETOA met PGM Pers on 14.01.2025 and discussed various issues for urgent resolution and clarification.
Clarification on new OTP Window Jan 2025 :
The issue of opening of new OTP window was discussed with PGM Pers today.
The Old OTP requests shall be kept intact with a provision to withdraw.
We have requested for incorporating the modification tab also in OTP Portal. The same is under discussion.
ERP Relieving of Hard Tenure Transfers :
The issue of ERP relieving for hard tenure is under persuasion and CHQ team is taking all efforts to get the officers relieved centrally from ERP. Matter under active consideration.
Clarification on Immunity Guidelines w.r.t OA/BA Level :
With regard to the clarity on Immunity of OA/BA confusion, the instructions have been passed on to ERP Section. The restrictions of Entry has been removed.
The Colocated OA will act as BA body and rest OAs as separate OA body. The OA/BA body will be treated at same level for the purpose of immunity. Circle office OA body will consist of OBs from circle office.
All CSs are requested to get the entries in ERP done. If any issues are faced, same may be brought to our knowledge.
Forwarding of Application to other Department & Opening of Deputation :
The freeze of Deputation has been removed and the new policy is under discussion. In the meantime, we have requested for forwarding the applications received from executives for deputation to various organisations including DoT. The same shall be considered.
Promotion in various cadres :
Issue of Promotions in various cadres to be taken up with Director HR.

BSNL CO has issued circular regarding the Online Transfer Portal (OTP) for Inter-Circle Transfer applications for SDE(T) and AGM(T) cadres. The transfer application window will be open from 16th January 2025 to 31st January 2025.

Further, it is highlighted in the circular that, executives can submit up to three circle preferences, with a preference for deficit circles to increase the chance of approval. Pending applications from previous OTP windows can be withdrawn, and fresh applications can be submitted during this window as per the issued instructions.
