A significant number of Junior Engineers (JEs) who joined BSNL in 2017 are due for time-bound upgradation under the Non-Executive Promotion Policy (NEPP) by June/July 2025. These young and energetic employees are about to embark on their executive cadre journey.

A one-time exemption is requested to grant their due increment under NEPP, calculated based on their basic pay in the non-executive cadre, prior to their Pay fixation as JTO.

This consideration will demonstrate empathy and support for these deserving employees.

Update on JTO to SDE SCF Court case:

As you are aware that promotions in the grade of JTO to SDE is held up due to stay from CAT Chandigarh. The next date of hearing is 4th March 2025.

For JTO to SDE case, Legal Team of AIGETOA have consulted all the lawyers and requested them to complete the arguments on next date.

Both the lawyers Shri R K Sharma and Shri Brajesh Mittal have agreed to complete the arguments on 4th March. All the applicants have also given their consent for final arguments.

AIGETOA Team have coordinated and had requested all the counsels to complete the final arguments on next date.

Team AIGETOA have also requested BSNL Management to direct BSNL Counsel Shri K K Thakur to not to seek adjournment and complete the hearing, so that the case can be decided to finality and the held up Promotions in JTO to SDE cadre can happen immediately thereafter. As on date the number of vacancies have also increased and many more candidates can be promoted.

SDE to AGM LICE Case Dismissed: Major Breakthrough Achieved, Promotions to Follow Soon!

Congratulations !!!! A major breakthrough achieved.

AIGETOA advocate shri Brajesh Mittal was pursuing for the pronouncement of the judgement in the SDE to AGM LICE Case. Finally, the much awaited day has reached. It is understood that Hon’ble CAT Chandigarh has dismissed the OA filed by MT Applicants paving the way forward for SDE to AGM Promotions through LICE.

The written copy of the orders are expected in a day or two. After receiving the written orders, much awaited promotions in SDE to AGM telecom through LICE mode can be issued.

We extend our thanks and gratitude to the relentless efforts of AIGETOA Legal Team and AIGETOA advocate Shri Brajesh Mittal Ji who were instrumental in issuance of the orders and taking this effort to the final milestone.

We also extend thanks to BSNL management and its legal team for having accepted our requests in this case from time to time and deputing Senior Advocates from Supreme Court to pursue the case.

AIGETOA CHQ has already alerted BSNL Management for keeping the things in ready mode, so that the much awaited orders can be issued.

GS AIGETOA writes to Director HR BSNL Board against Uncalled for delay in Promotions from AO to CAO on the pretext of seeking objections from the executives. GS AIGETOA categorically mentions that There are sufficient Judicial and Quasi-Judicial remedies available if anyone is having objections over the directions of the Hon’ble Court and there is no need for BSNL to act as a superior authority over Hon’ble court.

GS AIGETOA writes to CMD BSNL seeking his intervention in directing the concerned HR units to work on the issues and ensure its readiness for resolution so that the April 2025 month becomes a historic month for BSNL and its employees and new chapter of growth and development starts for BSNL w.e.f May 2025. GS AIGETOA emphasizes that In the absence of tangible and visible progress on the HR issues by way of concrete preparatory actions by HR units to ensure the resolution of the issues, this cooperation and togetherness will definitely be affected. All HR units should seize this opportunity and should not compel the association to withdraw the cooperation and resort to organizational actions.

GS AIGETOA also requests CMD BSNL for directing all the HR units dealing with various issues to not to spoil this feeling of togetherness and belongingness from the employees. The concerned units should be asked to work on a war footing mode so that employees as well as management can truly celebrate the April 2025 Month as HR Month by way of resolution of long pending issues of Pay, Promotion and Pension.
