GS AIGETOA takes up the issue of Sanchar Aadhar Problems with Director CM

GS AIGETOA today took up the issue of consistent problems occurring in Sanchar Aadhar App which is resulting into many customers going back without connections.

GS AIGETOA informed Director CM that the BSNL Employees have taken a strong social media campaign for switching to BSNL and the results are really enthusiastic. At this time, any lacunae on the part of resources will wipe off the postive image of BSNL.

GS requested for sufficient infra support from BSNL.

He requested Director CM to kindly intervene in directing the vendor of Sanchar Aadhar app to set right the issues immediately.

Further GS AIGETOA also requested for ensuring free home delivery of SIM to customer premises as employees are in receipt of many such requests over social media. This will further enhance the image and number of connections.

We expect an immediate positive response from management on this.

GS BMS Shri Ravindra Himte Writes to Hon’ble Prime Minister Sh Narendra Modi Ji, Advocates for Empowering BSNL with Full-Fledged 4G/5G Services to Benefit Nation and Public:

GS BMS Shri Ravindra Himte Ji takes up the issue of empowering BSNL to launch full fledged 4G/5G not only in the interest of nation but also in the general interest of common public. BSNL has always acted as a market balancer and as a catalyst to keep the private operators in check. Launch of Cell one service made private operators to reduce tariff, when BSNL made incoming free, all operators followed, when BSNL launched all India free Roaming, private operators also had to do it.

The mobile today is not only a means of communication but also a source of livelihood for many people in the country. Hence providing affordable mobile and communication services to citizens is an obligation on the part of government. This cannot be ensured without strong presence of BSNL in 4G/5G services. Today the public is running for BSNL SIM but a lack of 4G/5G to BSNL is restraining them to do so.

Hence, GS BMS Shri Ravindra Himte Ji appeals for intervention of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji for allowing BSNL to upgrade its mobile network to the 4G/5G Technology so that BSNL can roll out full-fledged 4G services.

GS BMS also assures firm support on behalf of BMS and BSNL employees to the Homegrown 4G initiative but at the same time, maintains that now it has become mandatory that BSNL may be allowed to upgrade its network to 4G/5G, till the time development of Indigenous 4G core is completed.

GS AIGETOA Writes to CMD BSNL – Requesting the implementation of reservation in promotions for PwBDs and the issuance of promotion orders for all the eligible candidates:

Despite previous reminders and references to relevant orders and guidelines, BSNL has not initiated the promotion process for eligible PwBDs. AIGETOA again highlighted that there are 85 eligible PwBD executives in the cadre of SDE who have been awaiting promotion since 2013.

The Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016, which mandates reservation in promotions for PwBDs, and the BSNL MSRR, which outline the eligibility criteria for promotion to the AGM cadre. Also in a recent Hon’ble Supreme Court order in a contempt petition, where the Court directed the respondents to consider giving notional promotions to eligible candidates from an earlier date.

Additionally, the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) has issued guidelines for providing reservation in promotions to PwBD employees, including the creation of supernumerary posts. The Hon’ble PCAT has also directed BSNL to implement reservation in promotions for PwBDs and promote eligible SDEs to AGMs within a specified timeframe.

The Association has expressed concern over BSNL’s delay in implementing these directions, stating that it will only lead to more legal complexities. AIGETOA requested the CMD to intervene and ensure that reservation in promotions for PwBDs is implemented as per the DoPT guidelines, promoting all 85 eligible PwBDs from SDE to AGM.

We highlighted a recent order by the Department of Posts, which clarifies the procedure for computing the number of vacancies reserved for PwBDs. The Association has urged BSNL to consider all eligible PwBD employees for promotion on a notional basis, as per the DoPT OM dated 28th December 2023.
