Yesterday, CHQ leaders of both AIGETOA and SNEA discussed the ongoing Restructuring processes, which entails drastic reduction of posts. It will block the entire career progression of all the Executives, both Associations acknowledged.

It has concluded that Promotion in a time bound manner is the only solution for this and there is an urgent need for Fierce United Struggle to address the promotional issues of executives. Finally both sides decided to demand promotion for all eligible executives, time-bound promotion before any Restructuring and meet the CMD in this regard on Thursday itself and place the demand and address the issue immediately. Further discussion will continue for a common minimum program and other Associations will also be approached.

We will speak to SEWA and others also to join hands for the goal.

AIGETOA handed over Rs 28.75 Lakh to its members family as a DRF scheme

AIGETOA has lost it’s 23 valuable members in recent Past due to Covid -19 pandemic and other reasons. Whole AIGETOA family is very sad on this untimely demise of these 23 esteem members all over India.

No one can fill the gap created due to this sudden death in those families .

To fulfill our commitment for the welfare of our members family as per our DRF scheme AIGETOA has handed over cheque of 1.25 lakh to nominee of each of these 23 AIGETOA members immediately as and when cases received from respective circle bodies of AIGETOA.

AIGETOA is also trying for compensation ground appointment of these members spouse so that there families can financially survive in this tough time.

Telecom Sector PLI Scheme to Benefit 33 Companies

Telecom News : The Indian government has shortlisted 33 companies for being a part of the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme for the telecom sector. The scheme will offer these companies benefits worth Rs 12,000 crore if they are able to meet their manufacturing or production goals within the desired time and inside the boundaries of India. The government had announced the PLI scheme for various sectors earlier this year. On February 24, 2021, the Indian government had said the telecom sector would get a PLI scheme too, which will offer benefits worth Rs 12,195 crore.

EPFO Procedure for E-nomination Filling

The Employee Provident Fund Organisation has asked all subscribers to use e-nomination facility to nominate family members with Aadhaar IDs.

Facility can be availed by EPF members if their mobile number was linked with their Universal Account Number (UAN) and if Aadhaar verification was completed.

All BSNL Recruited employees (Executives as well as Non Executives) are kind requested to fill the E-nomination for EPF online. It is a very mandatory requirement for safe future of our family in terms of EPF amount and pension.

It is a very simple work, one need to have following things with him/her while filling E-nomination.

  1. Your passport size photo.
  2. Yours Nominee passport size photo.
  3. Nominee Aadhar number.
  4. Nominee Date of Birth.
  5. Nominee residential Address.
  6. Nominee Bank account Detail( A/c Number and IFSC code and branch)

AUAB 3 Days Dharna at Jantar Mantar

All Unions and Associations of BSNL (AUAB) will be organizing a Three Day Dharna Program at Jantar Mantar, New Delhi, on 21st, 22nd & 23rd September, 2021 in support of their demands as stated in the notice. The Unions and Associations of BSNL are regularly taking up the issues of importance of BSNL and its employees through this joint platform. The Program is important to attract the attention of Government of India, Dept of Telecom and BSNL Management considering the fact that sustainability of BSNL is facing serious challenges due to non implementation of some important arms of BSNL Revival Program including non rollout of 4G services despite passage of more than one and half years.

Provident Fund To Be Split Into 2 Accounts – Taxable And Non-Taxable

The Centre has notified new income tax rules under which the existing provident fund (PF) accounts will be split into two separate accounts, to enable the government to tax PF income generating from employee contributions which exceed ₹ 2.5 lakh annually.

Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) has issued the rules and separate accounts within the PF account shall be maintained.

It is unambiguously informed to management that In the absence of suitable measures to address the promotional aspect of executives, it will be very difficult for the association to control the emotion and resentment of executives. Accordingly, any restructuring exercise without taking into the consideration the promotional avenues of executives will not be accepted by this association and shall be firmly opposed by AIGETOA.

Meeting of AIGETOA with the Parliamentary Committee on Welfare of OBCs :

Today AIGETOA along with sister Unions & Associations participated in a meeting with the Parliamentary Committee on welfare of other backward classes regarding “measures undertaken to secure representation of OBCs and their welfare.” at Hotel Radisson Blu in Guwahati. AIGETOA was represented by CS Assam – Sh Satyajyoti Nath and Executive Member – Sh Ashutosh Das.

At the start of the meeting, all the MPs were felicitated with Assamese Floral Gamocha by the representatives of associations and unions.

A memorandum was submitted demanding various measures for upliftment of the OBC community. Around 11 MPs both of Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha participated in the meeting n took stock of measures undertaken in BSNL for welfare of OBCs.

Apart from discussion on OBC issues, a short discussion took place on BSNL viability related issues. Individual memorandums were also submitted to all the MPs seeking support for the revival of BSNL.

Thereafter, the Committee had discussion with BSNL Management on OBC related issues. BSNL side was represented by CGMT Assam – Sh A K Pahi, PGM Pers – Sh Ramesh Kr Goel, Chief Liaison Officer for OBC – Sh Jagdish Prasad, GM Admin – Sh Anil Pankaj and other officers.
