Next date given in AO to CAO court case at Hon’ble Chandigarh CAT. Arguments happened for almost one and half hours but the case was posted for further arguments on 10th April 2023.
The court case on AO to CAO promotions is listed for today at SL No. 41, 43. AIGETOA Team consisting FS CHQ Shri Badri Kumar Mehta, Joint Secretary (North) Shri Amit Roy, CS AIGETOA Punjab Shri Yogesh Chhabra and FS AIGETOA Punjab Shri Vineet Bhandari shall be present in court on behalf of AIGETOA. Case has been exclusively listed at 2:30 pm today and is likely to be decided. We have also ensured that things remain in ready mode from BSNL Side to issue the promotions immediately without any delay. Senior counsel from Hon’ble Supreme Court shall be attending the hearing on behalf of BSNL.
Let’s all pray that today case is decided and we can see the long awaited promotions in AO to CAO grade can take place which will open up the path for JAO to AO promotions also.
Today first Indigenous 4G e-Node-B which has been developed as a part of Atmanirbhar Bharat in Telecom has been powered on at Ferozepur BA of Punjab Circle. This is the first BTS working on home grown technology

Today is definitely a big day and a firm step towards realizing the dream of 4G rollout in BSNL on home grown technology. We extend our sincere thanks to Government of India also for providing the much needed support to BSNL. Things were tough all these days but finally the light can be seen at the end of tunnel.
Team AIGETOA Punjab Circle comprising Circle President Sh Vikas Gupta, Asst Circle Secretary Sh Narinder Kumar, Asst Circle Secretary Sh Vivek Asthana, District Secretary Nodal-Center Sh Ajit Singh and District President Nodal-Center Sh Anurag Parkash met Sh Sandeep Govil Director (CM) BSNL Board on his maiden visit to Chandigarh on 25.02.2023 to review Indigenous 4G launch.
Team welcomed him and congratulated him on assuming the high office of Director CM Team had brief discussion on various issues including 4G roll out, VAS bundling issue, increase in SAB contribution, Pay scale issues, Promotion in all cadres, Payment of GTI and GHI by BSNL. He gave patient hearing to our issues and assured to look into them. Team also submitted a memorandum to Director (CM).
Online Application form for joint options – Joint options under erstwhile para 11 (3) and para 11 (4) of EPS 1995 for employees who were in service prior to 1st September 2014 and continued to the in service on or after 01.09.2014 but could not exercise joint option under erstwhile provision to para 11 (3) of EPS 1995 to be exercised on or before 3rd May 2023.

It is understood that as per discussions and suggestions given by AIGETOA in the recently held agenda meeting, feedback is being called from field units on the pros, cons and suggestions on improving the system and doing away with the inherent lacunae. All the AIGETOA office bearers are requested to immediately highlight the challenges and demerits of the system with their respective Circle, BA and OA heads.
An exclusive meeting with association on this issue shall also be held very soon.
After pursuance by AIGETOA after receiving requests from executives, another window for opting GTI has been opened for 25th February 2023 on request of executives who missed the previous window.
