Nationwide Lunch Hour Demonstrations by All BSNL Unions and Associations on 08.01.2026 :

In response to the joint call of all BSNL Unions and Associations, Lunch Hour Demonstrations were organized on an all-India basis (at CHQ/Circle/District) on 08.01.2026, reflecting the serious discontent among Executives and Employees over unresolved HR and wage-related issues.

The demonstrations demanded:

1] Immediate implementation of the 3rd Pay / Wage Revision.

2] Withdrawal of vindictive and arbitrary actions taken by CGM CHTD / Tamil Nadu.

3] Immediate transfer of CGM TN/CHTD, GM (HR) TN, and PGM (HR) CHTD.

BSNL Executives and Employees participated across the country and strongly protested against:

1] Unjustified delay of more than three months by BSNL Management in forwarding the signed Wage Negotiation Agreement recommendations to DoT.

2] Non-compliance with repeated assurances given regarding issues arising in TN/CHTD.

3] Failure to resolve continuing unrest in Tamil Nadu and CHTD Circles.

The demonstrations at all level clearly exposed the serious dissatisfaction and frustration prevailing among the workforce due to the continued neglect of HR issues by BSNL Management.

Leaders of all participating Unions and Associations organized LHD at CHQ/Circle/District, explaining the delay in wage revision, detailing the issues caused by the actions of CGM CHTD/TN, and highlighting the lack of meaningful response from Management. All Leaders emphasized the need for collective and united struggle.

Mass LHD was also held at Eastern Court, Janpath, New Delhi, where the General Secretaries of all participating Unions and Associations addressed the gathering. A significant number of Executives and Employees participated and clearly voiced their resentment against the prolonged inaction of BSNL Management on HR-related matters.
