We commit to establishing permanent, adequate, and timely solutions for pensions and post-retirement medical benefits, with a special focus on the welfare of employees who joined BSNL in recent years.

5. Salary & Promotion Discrepancies:

All pending Salary and Promotion-related issues will be addressed transparently and without further delay, ensuring fair treatment for all employees

6. Field Officer Resources:

We will ensure that all Field officers to be equipped with the necessary resources, including sufficient staff, vehicles, and essential support, to effectively serve the organization and the nation

7. DoT Pensioner Welfare:

All concerns regarding pensions and medical benefits for DoT pensioners will be resolved swiftly and fairly.

BSNL CO issues instructions for Upkeep and Maintenance of BSNL Quarters and IQs:

As per the discussions held with Director HR and the issues raised by AIGETOA, BSNL Corporate office issues instructions for maintenance and upkeep of IQs and Staff Quarters with sufficient provisioning of Funds.

However, the letter finds mention of Shramdaan and Cooperation from staff also. While we do appreciate the necessity of involvement of staff and residence welfare associations in keeping the staff colonies neat and clean and they have been cooperating also on this front. But all circle secretaries must ensure that any circle administration should not make it as reason for non maintenance and non upkeep of Staff Quarters. They should ensure that upkeep and maintenance of all staff colonies and IQs are done by concerned Administration. Any such incidence or any such reluctance in the name of cooperation form staff and sharmdan must also be reported to concerned CGM and also CHQ for highlighting at BSNL CO management.

Publishing of Central Collegium of AIGETOA (2024-2027)

As per the notification issued on 27.08.2024, the election of Central Collegium conducted on 28.09.2024 under the patronage of Returning Officer Shri Shailesh Kumar and Asst Returning Officer Shri Gaurav Garg in presence of all central governing body of AIGETOA. The election was conducted in accordance with the laid down procedure in the constitution of the association. The list of Central Collegium elected today is placed here for information to all concerned.

Update on Pay Loss case of 22820 filed by Team AIGETOA:

Today payloss case 22820 came for hearing in the Delhi High Court. BSNL has submitted the reply in the court and our written submissions had also been filed before the Hon’ble Court. BSNL has submitted the reply day before yesterday and the advocate from the ministry sought time for filling the reply as BSNL has submitted the reply just two days before the hearing. Our Lawyer objected as the court had already given the last opportunity in the last hearing. Now the matter is sent before the bench for the hearing. The next date of hearing is 14.11.2024.

In next hearing, arguments will start. Team AIGETOA will take all necessary steps to win the case in our favour.

Update on Issues Faced by BSNL Executives in Phase IX.2 Indigenous 4G Rollout :

The AIGETOA team today on dated 26th September 2024, presented a detailed account of the problems faced in 4G roll-out and MAAN network to Hon’ble CMD, BSNL. We presented a comprehensive overview of the teething issues faced by BSNL executives in the indigenous 4G rollout and offered effective solutions. We have also requested CMD BSNL to provide the staff with sufficient resources, labour and vehicles to discharge their field duties effectively.

The CMD BSNL appreciated the concern and assured us that necessary actions will be taken to resolve the issues faced. He also assured that he shall be taking necessary review and direct CGMs to provide sufficient resources like vehicle, labour etc. to field staff for discharging their duties effectively.

In the interest of safeguarding BSNL’s competitive position, AIGETOA has decided not to disclose the matters related to services publicly.

AIGETOA remains committed to protecting the interests of its executives as well as BSNL.

Team AIGETOA Agenda Meeting with CMD BSNL on 25th Sept 2024:

Agenda based meeting of Team AIGETOA with CMD BSNL held today on 25.09.2024. The issues of Pay, Pay-Loss, 30 Percent SAB, Promotions, SDE Reversal 2007, 147 Reversal were explained to CMD BSNL in detail. Discussions are positive and CMD BSNL was quite receptive to the submissions made by AIGETOA. It was the first meeting with CMD BSNL on agenda points and we explained all the points and why they have not been resolved yet. CMD BSNL told his team to share a detailed feedback on the issues raised. A follow up meeting on the agenda will be held again. CMD BSNL has assured of positive action on the major agenda points and we are also anticipating a breakthrough soon.

Further, CMD BSNL emphasized upon the need for increasing the revenue, specially he expressed his concern on the declining trend of FTTH connections. He sought the support of employees in increasing the revenue. We emphasized that whatever plan which management makes for the betterment of BSNL, employees are supporting wholeheartedly but employees are disheartened because of non resolution of the HR issues pertaining to Pay, Promotion and Pension and hence management must proactively resolve these issues now. we expressed our firm support in achieving the gain in revenue and also increasing the connections. We gave the feedback received from field units on issues faced in 4G roll out and other crucial network issues.

One thing is for sure, our current CMD is very open minded on the pending HR issues and he has shown his clear intent to resolve the HR issues. Thankfully, Our Director HR is also very much compassionate about the issues pertaining to employees. We are very sure, with the current management team we have the best chance to clear the long pending issues.

Let’s hope for the best. Together We Will do it Definitely.

SR cell to issue corrigendum on Daily Diary App :

As intimated in the morning after going through the letter of AIGETOA, Director HR called GS AIGETOA and discussed on the daily diary app.

He appreciated the concerns raised by AIGETOA and told that he shall be issuing a clarification to all CGMs about the apprehensions raised by the association. He told that this app will work as a feedback mechanism only. He said he is open to making necessary changes in the APP also to rename it as “BSNL Samvad App”.

More discussions followed in the afternoon when PGM SR called the General Secretary of AIGETOA and SNEA. Thereafter based on the inputs suggested by Association, a draft was finalized and agreed.

Now the App is delinked from APAR and made optional with no linkage to APAR and targets anymore. The daily dairy is an optional thing now. The feedback system is incorporated. The KPI entry is categorically mentioned as optional. Edit option is given. Furthermore no weightage in APAR for diary update.

Thereafter both GSs had brief meeting with CMD BSNL and he categorically mentioned that intent is constructive and intended towards getting the actual feedback from employees. He assured that this app is not at all for linking performance and salary or APAR.

Accordingly Restructuring Cell shall be issuing a modification on the above lines.
