Team AIGETOA Meeting with PGM (Pers.) conveying strong objection on relieving has been carried without resolution of discrepancies already highlighted by AIGETOA:

Team AIGETOA today met PGM (Pers) and strongly conveyed its serious objection to the manner in which yesterday’s relieving has been carried out, despite several discrepancies having already been highlighted in the order issued on 09.05.2026.

Subsequently, PGM (Estt.) also joined the discussion. It was brought to notice that even the ERP struck-off has been carried out selectively and in one particular case, a person has reportedly been reinstated without any approval or direction from the competent authority, solely at the discretion of DGM (Pers-I). It was further pointed out that even PGM (Pers) was not aware of this development.

We categorically clarified that AIGETOA is not opposed to any genuine relaxation or relief in deserving cases. However, extending such relaxation selectively to a few individuals while ignoring other similarly placed candidates is a matter of serious concern and was strongly opposed. We demanded immediate corrective action to ensure that the process is applied uniformly and transparently to all similarly placed candidates.

We also demanded immediate resolution of all pending applications relating to Retention/Cancellation/Modification. AIGETOA strongly objected to the continued delay and daily dilly-dallying by the Pers Section, particularly with regard to the submission and verification of missing documents. It was pointed out that on several occasions, the AIGETOA team had specifically raised cases where applications were being kept pending on the pretext of missing documents. However, only when the matter was taken up and the time for disposal had approached, the concerned officers started pointing out or showing the alleged missing links/documents.

We strongly demanded that responsibility be fixed upon the officers responsible for such negligence and undue delay. Such an approach not only causes avoidable hardship to the affected employees but also raises serious questions regarding the uniformity, transparency and fairness of the process.

It was further highlighted that Retention/Cancellation/Modification cases appear to have been dealt with selectively, while similarly placed candidates, including medical and PwD cases, have allegedly been ignored despite having comparable grounds. AIGETOA strongly objected to such selective treatment and demanded immediate corrective action, uniform application of the rules, and fixation of responsibility for any deliberate or negligent delay or discriminatory handling of cases.

AIGETOA reiterated that any decision concerning relieving, retention, cancellation, modification or ERP status must be taken strictly as per the applicable rules and with due approval of the competent authority, without any selective or discretionary treatment.

After AIGETOA highlighted the points, both PGM (Pers.) and PGM (Estt.) discussed the concerns raised by us pointwise with the Director (HR) and CMD, BSNL.

In conclusion, it was informed that all the issues raised by AIGETOA shall be decided by Monday, 14th September 2026. Accordingly, We will hold next meeting with HR Team on Monday. It was firmly assured that the needful corrective action and consideration of the cases including those eligible for different type of immunity shall be decided by that time.
