Kalyan Sagar Nippani on assuming the charge of Director HR BSNL Board and assures him full support & co-operation in all the endeavors taken in the interest of BSNL and its employees.

During our brief discussions, we emphasized in resolving our longstanding HR issues in BSNL, particularly focusing on promotions across all cadres and streams. We also requested an appointment for a detailed discussion on these matters.

Greetings on this momentous occasion as we joyously commemorate the foundation day of the All India Graduate Engineers & Telecom Officers Association (AIGETOA). Today marks not only a celebration of our collective journey but also a reaffirmation of our unity, progress, and unwavering commitment to the well-being of every BSNL Executives.

Our remarkable odyssey began in 2005, highlighting the imperative need for an association to safeguard the rights of BSNL Executives. In response, AIGETOA was established in 2005, emerging as a vital platform addressing HR policy disparities and amplifying the collective voices of its members. Since then, AIGETOA has been a beacon of dedication, systematically addressing and resolving diverse issues, earning the unanimous support of our esteemed members.

As we collectively reflect on this journey, let’s take a moment to acknowledge the milestones achieved, the challenges surmounted, and the enduring bonds forged within AIGETOA. The success of AIGETOA stands as a testament to the unwavering commitment and tireless efforts of its members, who have played a pivotal role in maintaining BSNL’s global position as a market leader.

Today on 29th Oct 2023, Team AIGETOA comprising of GS Shri Ravi Shil Verma, President Sh G Veerabhadra Rao, Dy GS Sh Pavan Akhand, AGS Sh Sunil and JS North Sh Amit Roy visited India Mobile Congress 2023 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.

The 7th edition of the India Mobile Congress (IMC) 2023, which was started on friday, has attracted many participants and visitors who are eager to witness the future of digital transformation. A mega event, the IMC showcases trends and innovations in the telecom, media, and technology sectors.

This event is a significant platform for the mobile and telecom industry to showcase their latest technologies and innovations.

The pending transfers orders from hard tenure stations finally issued. Team AIGETOA CHQ has followed the matter right from the officers of Pers Section to the highest authority to get the orders issued.

Surprisingly, no other association except AIGETOA was following these cases irrespective of their individual association Affiliations. It was only AIGETOA which raised the applicability of existing tenure guidelines as per the old orders who were already posted in hard tenure and also for those whose orders were issued before issuance of modified guidelines for tenure stations. We have already taken up the matter for keeping the tenure in line with the GOI Guidelines and same is under discussion. AIGETOA has strictly opposed increasing the tenure.

On this sacred occasion, let’s revel in the triumph of righteousness over evil and the victory of truth over deceit. Let’s also honor the relentless dedication of our BSNL executives, who are at the forefront of making India self-reliant in cutting-edge telecommunications, with indigenous 4G and 5G technologies.

AIGETOA remains unwavering in its commitment to resolve long-standing HR concerns related to pay, promotions, pensions, and the welfare of our dedicated executives. We are deeply appreciative of the invaluable support and guidance from the Parliamentary Committee on Public Undertakings (CoPU), which has recognized our inputs and is actively seeking a detailed report from the BSNL management. We are hopeful that our genuine demands will soon find resolution through the intervention of CoPU and the senior leadership of BSNL. Our heartfelt congratulations go to CMD BSNL, Shri P K Purwar ji, and Director HR, Shri Sandeep Govil ji, for their proactive and positive approach in addressing pending promotions across various grades. We sincerely appreciate their efforts and offer our full cooperation and support. We extend warm wishes for a joyful, prosperous, and secure Dussehra. The court case for JTO to SDE Promotions pertaining to the operation of AIEL 3 was heard today. The Reply of BSNL has been submitted in both the cases. Intervention application of AIGETOA through its office bearer was also heard and Hon’ble Bench has allowed the intervention application of AIGETOA. Now advocate on behalf of AIGETOA can argue on the merits of the case.

The case is posted on 28th November at 2.30 pm for final arguments. We are very sure, the merit will definitely prevail and whatever way the case goes, AIGETOA will ensure that Promotion happens.

Friends, once again, it is AIGETOA only which is taking efforts to end the stalemate in JTO to SDE promotions. Our similar efforts are on for SDE to AGM Promotions also and AGM to DGM Promotions also. Similarly we are very close to breakthrough on 22820 and E2-E3 Court cases also.

This should also act as an eye opener to those who fell prey to the hollow promises and misguidance of their own brothers who just created a narrative against AIGETOA and encashed upon the sentiments of executives due to endless sufferings which has been meted out to several executive groups by virtue of consistent ignorance of the important HR issues by Management. Till date, we are yet to see any move from those torch bearers towards resolution of the issues while time is slowly tickling away. In fact the high decibel voice raised by those torch bearers across various groups has also gone silent. However it’s their choice, how they act or how they respond but AIGETOA is determined to remove all the roadblocks and end the stalemate on all the long pending issues of PPP. We consider ourselves duty bound to answer those 10,000 plus people who have shown their faith in AIGETOA.

We are very sure that with our consistent persuasion and unmatched perseverance, we will definitely succeed.

The arguments in the case of AO to CAO Court Case at Hon’ble CAT Chandigarh Completed Today. Judgement is reserved. Team AIGETOA consisting of Shri Amit Roy, JS North, Shri Vikas Gupta CP Punjab and Shri Yogesh Chhabra, CS Punjab was present in the whole hearing.

Finally, after the herculean efforts of AIGETOA, this long pending case reached finality. Though today also, efforts were made by some groups to delay the hearing. However BSNL advocate’s strong pursuance resulted into final breakthrough. AIGETOA Team hopes for a speedy pronunciation of the judgement which will pave the way for long awaited promotions in the grade of AO to CAO which will open the path for JAO to AO Promotions also

It will be pertinent to mention that only because of efforts and pursuance of AIGETOA, this case reached to this stage else some groups left no stone unturned to delay the process. Very soon we will achieve the breakthrough in other cases also.

Hearing on AO to CAO Promotions was held at Hon’ble Chandigarh CAT today. Strong arguments took place wherein both the sides presented their arguments. Pleading from the applicants side happened and counter arguments were done by BSNL Senior Advocate. The hearing remains inconclusive today and shall continue tomorrow also. Team AIGETOA was present in the court during the whole proceedings.

We extend our thanks to BSNL management for accepting the AIGETOA request for continuing with the same Senior advocate from the Supreme Court who was earlier presenting the case. In the Last Scheduled Hearing, Senior Counsel Late Shri R D Agarwala was also appointed to present the case but due to his sudden demise, the hearing couldn’t happen. Thereafter, the AIGETOA team pursued Management to continue with the Sr Advocate Shri Chauhan who was representing the case earlier. We expect the conclusive arguments tomorrow and a positive breakthrough so that AO to CAO Promotions can take place immediately. This will also result in execution of Similar number of Promotions from JAO to AO grade as per the formula given by AIGETOA to management earlier.

Team AIGETOA has been regularly pursuing with the members of the parliamentary committee on public undertaking (CoPU) including the chairman with regard to the long pending HR issues of Pay Promotions and Pensions and have submitted our inputs to Chairman COPU. We have highlighted the precarious conditions of BSNL Executives with respect to Pay, Perks and Allowances. We have informed that the BSNL Recruits despite having Professional and Technical Qualifications have been extended only one promotion in their entire career. We have also informed that the recommendation of 2nd PRC with respect to the Pay Scale and 30 Percent SAB is still pending to be implemented and even the Gazette Notification of the Government of India with respect to creating the separate pension scheme for BSNL Recruits was also highlighted. We had also highlighted that post implementation of 2nd PRC, many BSNL Recruits have been made subject to pay loss in place of increase in salary. We also informed them that despite mandatory provision, Post Retirement Medical Benefit fund is yet to be implemented in BSNL. We also have highlighted that executives up to AGM level are being forced to work at TA/DA/Allowances at 2002 rates. We had also requested for their support on implementation of 3rd PRC in BSNL.

Our consistent efforts and regular pursuance with the members of COPU has finally succeeded and we wish to inform one and all that COPU has taken cognizance of our inputs, media reports and documents submitted by us and are taking the issues formally with BSNL Management and seeking detailed report in this regard. They have assured for their intervention in the settlement of these long pending genuine HR issues pertaining to BSNL Executives.

Friends, Team AIGETOA is trying from all corners and is leaving no stone unturned to achieve the objective of settlement of the long pending HR issues.
