AIGETOA team Meeting with MOC at Bhubaneswar (Odisha) on 23rd Aug 2021

AIGETOA team comprising of Shri D K Sahoo (AGS CHQ), Shri Ashok Acharya (Jt Secy East) and Shri Dhiren Parida (CS Odisha) met Hon’ble MOC Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw ji at Bhubaneswar today. The team requested him for Immediate Permission to Launch 4G services and directing BSNL Board to accord approval for launching 4G services through upgradation route, removing various obstacles for the land monetization through cabinet decision, allowing BSNL for 5G testing, release of pending amount from DoT, extending 3rd PRC benefits to BSNL and settlement of pending HR issues at DoT part. We also told that while implementing the concept of Atmanirbhar Bharat, business interests of BSNL should be taken care of. Honble Minister went through the submissions and had a brief discussion on the issues. He advised us to focus on Customer Care.

Hon’ble MoC agreed to meet AIGETOA Team to discuss all the issues related to Revival of BSNL in details at New Delhi.

Circle Conference of AIGETOA UP East held on 21th Aug 2021

The Circle Conference cum Annual General Body Meeting of AIGETOA UP East was conducted successfully as per the schedule on 21th August 2021 through Online Mode.

The election of the new governing body of UP East carried out as per the provisions in presence of CHQ Observer AGS Shri Fazal Ahmad and JS Central Shri Himanshu Ojha. The following Circle Body was elected for the next three years tenure of AIGETOA UP East Shri Sharda Prasad, Shri S S Choudhary and Shri Rajeev Kumar was elected as Circle President, Circle Secretary and Circle Finance Secretary respectively.

EPFO likely to credit 8.5% interest rate to accounts soon: here’s how to check PF balance

The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) is likely to credit 8.5% Employees’ Provident Fund (EPF) interest for its six crore subscribers by the end of July for the financial year 2020-21. Earlier, in March this year, the EPFO kept the interest rate unchanged at 8.5% for the current financial year as there were more withdrawals than deposits during this period.

E2-E3 Reminder to the DoT:

The matter was pending on account of delay in exact calculation of financial implication as exact data was also not available due to non availability of ERP package at that time. On meeting with Sr. GM Est by AIGETOA team , it was intimated that an average implication calculation will be proposed for submission after approval from CMD.

Association submission on 22820:

AIGETOA has finalised it’s documentation in support of our claim to be submitted to the committee formed for the 22820/- for the Pay Loss issue of those JTOs/JAOs, whose notification carried in E1A scale. The submission will be made in few days and the team will continue the discussions on the matter with Committee formed for the purpose. During the period we could interact with few personals and need and genuinity of the matter is already conveyed. Further we will be conveying the same firmly with all logics and hope that the committee will take it in right perspective to resolve it once for all.

Reconstitution of the committee on E1+5 Case:

The efforts are continuing in the direction for reconstitution of the committee but till now there is no substantial progress from management on this matter due to the fact that all members of the previous committee got superannuated. The pursuance for the committee is continuing and any major breakthrough will be reported once achieved.

EPF Full Pension Case

Hon SC bench observed to consider whether to give a conclusion or to refer the issue to a larger ( 3 ) bench and accordingly may pass the order by 24th August 2021. The Hon Court also observed that they cannot ignore or check the question of correctness of ruling by a coordinate bench. The distinction between exempted organisations and unexempted. organisations also came for discussion today.

The following Circle Body was elected for the next three years tenure of AIGETOA Uttarakhand Shri Vivek Tiwari, Shri Bhanu Pratap Singh Bhist and Shri Rajneesh Kumar was elected as Circle President, Circle Secretary and Circle Finance Secretary respectively.

USOF signs agreement with BSNL for high speed internet access to North Eastern States

For making available high quality and high speed internet access to the States of North Eastern Region of the country, Universal Service Obligation Fund (USOF) has signed an Agreement with Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) on 18.08.2021 for hiring of 10 Gbps International Bandwidth for Internet Connectivity to Agartala from Bangladesh Submarine Cable Company Limited (BSCCL), Bangladesh via Cox Bazar/Kuakata.
