AIGETOA CHQ Representatives along with BSNL representative visited EPFO HQ and met higher level officers in respect of problems faced by BSNL officials due to mandatory uploading of Joint option under para 26(6) of EPF scheme while filing higher option on EPFO portal.

We requested them to settle this problem by way of clarification so that we can opt higher pension within due date. We also handed over BSNL letter dated 10th March 2023 and request them to do the needful on urgent manner.

They told that matter is under active consideration and it will be resolved shortly.

SR Cell extended to date of entry in SAP portal for the facility of immunity from the transfer to the recognized Associations/Unions and support Associations.

Previously the last date for entry was 15.03.2023 which is further extended to 31.03.2023.

1] Release of List of eligible Associations : 17.04.2023 (Monday).

2] Last date of withdrawal of application : 28.04.2023 (Friday).

3] Release of List of final eligible Associations : 02.05.2023 (Tuesday).

AIGETOA seeks settlement of residual issues of 2nd PRC, implementation of 3rd PRC and indemnifying BSNL against losses in taking over operations of MTNL for at least 10 years. AIGETOA also seeks that BSNL should desist from creating a new cadre in the name of MT which will make merger even more complex. All legacy issues must be settled before finalizing any such merger.

The event started off with the Lighting of the Lamp by the AIP and also by AGM Smt Vasantha and Padmavathi marking the Women’s Day celebration as well.

The inauguration ceremony was also attended by Shri T Narender CS Telangana Circle, Shri M Madhava Rao Chairman TS Circle, DP HTD Shri Ashok, DS HTD Shri GVVN Sateesh, CFS Shri Munibabu, ACSs Shri B baburao & Shri Kalyan Kumar, CVP Shri Veeresh, DFS Shri Anand, ADSs, DVPs, OS of HTD, other units DSs and DPs and other Union leaders Shri Rajaram, CS SEWA Telangana, DS Shri Anjaneyulu HTD Telangana, DS NFTE Shri Muthu, DS BSNLEU Shri Sushil and members of AIGETOA HTD.

After the inauguration, the meeting was open for discussion on various topics of concern to the members. Discussion held on E1+5 increments, Standard Pay Scales, EPF full pension, Promotions in various cadre & Pay Revision etc., AIP replied to all the above and assured the members of full support of the CHQ in raising their issues with the management.

Inclusion of new stations in hard/soft tenure areas was being pursued by AIGETOA since long. Finally Management has agreed to AIGETOA’s demand and have sought comments from circles heads for inclusion of new areas in tenure policy.

The issuance of the letter w.r.t to Uttarakhand, Karnataka, Gujarat was delayed because apparently CMD BSNL wanted review on a consolidated basis means considering all India aspects together. Hence the comments from all circle heads have been asked. It means our demands in this regard have been considered and it’s only a matter of time that final policy is issued.
