During the recent agenda meeting with BSNL Management, AIGETOA CHQ strongly raised the issue of the proper upkeep and maintenance of Inspection Quarters (IQs) across BSNL. AIGETOA also suggested that, if BSNL is unable to maintain these facilities effectively, the possibility of maintaining them through recognised associations on a cooperative basis should be explored.
In response, the Management assured AIGETOA that proper upkeep and maintenance of IQs would be ensured and that sufficient funds were being released for this purpose.
Following this assurance, BSNL Management has issued instructions dated 17.10.2026 to all Chief General Managers (CGMs), directing them to prepare estimates for the renovation of Inspection Quarters, except standalone IQs, and submit the same to BSNL Corporate Office for administrative approval within one week.
While this may appear to be a small issue, the Management’s action in response to the commitment made during the agenda meeting with AIGETOA is a positive step towards strengthening mutual trust and ensuring that issues raised by the Association receive due attention.
AIGETOA CHQ appreciates the proactive response of BSNL Management and thanks the Management for taking action on this issue, which, though small, is significant for executives working in the field and for improving the facilities available to them.
