It is with deep sorrow and a heavy heart that we inform about the sudden and untimely demise of Shri Islam Ahmed, Ex-President of NFTE (BSNL).

Yesterday, Shri Islam Ahmed fell at his residence and sustained a head injury. He was immediately admitted to the hospital and underwent surgery. Despite the best efforts of the doctors, he passed away this morning.

Sh. Islam Ahmed’s contributions to the welfare of employees and the strengthening of the trade union movement will always be remembered with respect and gratitude.

AIGETOA pays its respectful homage to Sh. Islam Ahmed and conveys heartfelt condolences to his family members and the members of NFTE (BSNL) in this moment of grief.

With profound sorrow and heavy hearts, we inform you of the sad demise of our beloved colleague and friend, Shri Atul Singhal, SDE Bharuch, Gujarat who left for his heavenly abode on 17th June 2025.

Shri Atul Singhal was a dedicated, humble, and committed officer who served BSNL with utmost sincerity and integrity. His untimely departure is not only a personal loss to his family but also a deep and irreparable loss to the entire BSNL and AIGETOA fraternity.

In this hour of grief, AIGETOA stands firmly with the bereaved family. We pray to the Almighty to grant eternal peace to the departed soul and to give courage and strength to the family to bear this irreparable loss.

AIGETOA strongly condemns the heinous and cowardly terrorist attack on innocent tourists in Pahalgam, Kashmir. Terrorism in any form is a direct attack on the principles of humanity and peace. Such dastardly acts have no place in a civilized world and must be unequivocally denounced. The loss of innocent lives and the suffering caused to the injured is deeply painful and unacceptable.

With extreme grief, we bring to you the sad news of the demise of mother of Sh Muhammadali M C, Circle President Kerala Telecom Circle. She left for her heavenly abode yesterday night. The funeral is scheduled to be held tomorrow, 27th January 2025, at 10:00 am at Kattambally Juma Masjid, Kannur.

It is with profound sadness and a heavy heart that we inform you of the sudden and untimely passing of Shri K. S. Sheshadri, Deputy General Secretary of NFTE (BSNL). He left us unexpectedly this morning at 4:00 am at Jhansi Medical College. Shri Sheshadri was traveling by train to Delhi to attend the Wage Revision Committee meeting scheduled for 3:00 pm on 23rd October 2024. During the journey, before reaching Jhansi, he experienced severe discomfort. The railway personnel assisted him out of the coach and took him to Jhansi Medical College and Hospital, where he sadly breathed his last at around 4:00 AM.

During a meeting, the Tata team reportedly faced humiliation from Ford executives. However, instead of giving up, Ratan Tata decided to withdraw the sale offer and turned Tata Motors around, eventually leading the company to global success with acquisitions like Jaguar Land Rover.
