Meeting details with CMD BSNL :
GS Shri R P Shahu and President Shri N S Rao met to CMD BSNL in presence of Director (HR) Shri Gopal Das, biased unabsorbed ITS GM (Estt.) Shri D P De and most biased unabsorbed ITS GM (SR) Shri Shakeel Ahmad on 30th Sep 2009.
Meeting started in very positive atmosphere with personal and other official matter.
CMD BSNL initiated with the ITS absorption issue and told us to draw a blank this issue as this issue is already being taken by ministry and justifying the various dual benefits in the name of company policies.
As per our anticipation regarding 2005 batch pay anomalies, GM (Estt) Shri D P De said that ONGC anomaly do not exactly match with BSNL, so it can not be considered based on ONGC order, CMD was quite convinced with the Shri D P De and told that if it is only the issue, he can refer the same to DPE through the ministry for clarification.
Regarding EPF anomalies, CMD said that if we are compromising other issues he can resolve the EPF anomalies except refund of retrospective recovery which is under judiciary.
Regarding career progression and DGM/MT recruitment, he said it is the prerogative of management, if we feel that it is affecting our career progression we are free to leave BSNL.
Regarding first time bound upgradation in four years in respect of all executives as ridicules situation arises after implementation of pay revision; CMD said it can not be considered.
Regarding various corruption by ITS officers, CMD said many of your members are also involve in corruption so it is justified.
Regarding consideration of date of training for financial upgradation as was already agreed by CMD six months before, he told Shri D P De to revive the matter.
Meeting details of executive body on 30th Sep and 1st Oct 2009 :
AIGETOA had meeting of it’s CHQ and Circle executives on 30th Sep and 1st Oct 2009 at New Delhi to decide the future course of action. Almost 80 members were participated from different part of the country. AIGETOA is very thankful to all participants. Most of the members have managed to attend the crucial meeting in short notice. Some of the resolution passed is as under:
Management has gone ahead with illogical and irrelevant external MT recruitment by ignoring the genuine career aspiration of internal executives. Although we are not against any fast track promotion of deserving internal executives but AIGETOA will always appose such movement of management which leads BSNL more of a academic company than Service Company in the absence of performance based career progression and keep fighting for time bound functional promotion based on qualification, experience and performance.
Considering the current situation, AIGETOA has decided that taking the lesson from past LDCE for TES Group-B in which some ineligible candidates of 2002 batch have applied and consequently selected/appointed, all GE-JTO/DRJAO including 2005 and 2007 batch should apply for the MT and future course of action will be communicated later.
Regarding 2005 batch pay anomalies, AIGETOA has decided to request the members to refuse 60% pay arrear till the resolution of the issue. Regarding ITS absorption issue, AIGETOA has decided to have close watch on the ongoing process. It is learnt that union cabinet has already turned down the proposal of further deputation but if anything wrong in this direction AIGETOA will call protest with single issue.
