Why to bag for the things of our right ???
Dear friends, during last few years it can be seen that HR of largest public sector in India has become mockery for one and all. Everyone is just trying to snatch something by appeasing the bureaucrats. BSNL Management is still learning HR practices by hit and trail basis on the cost of the company. Guest dominated BSNL Management is sometimes notifying MT at E-4, sometimes Marketing and Sales Executives at E2 and sometimes DGM at E-5 just to recruit some loyal external candidate without going into the merits and some responsible associations always bag some chunk of it for their own executives.
It is really hurting for all the executives that we are bagging the things of right to get, a chunk in DGM recruitment by relaxation, some times up to E3 and some times up to E2.
Why relaxation?
Why do we not demand that we must reach up to the required criteria of eligibility in 12 years without any relaxation because we deserve the similar up gradation like other PSUs?
If BSNL management appreciates one engineer/Account Professional working in other PSUs and private Sectors by making them eligible for DGM only in 12 years of service without having any experience in telecom than why are we not giving better reaction to the management for insulting and undermining our own executives?
By bagging the relaxation, few executives may be eligible for the post of DGM and 1 or 2 may qualify the examination on the mercy of the management but what about others? Management skill always comes from experience with minimum required qualification to understand the terminology of the management. One examination can not be the criteria to judge the management skills and make the executives to jump from E2 to E5 while other remains at E2. if we want to be perfect manager we should gradually learn the skills and responsibilities of every level by jumping timely to the next level and it is the moral responsibility of the management to upgrade the responsibility of it’s own qualified executives instead preferring external candidate by abusing us.
Since the formation of BSNL, post of CMD was always occupied by internal ITS officers despite it is open for all, only because he got bonus of experience in Telecom but we the executives are not even eligible for the proposed DGM only because we are working in BSNL. It is not only the insult of existing executives but our beloved company also that no 12 years experienced external engineer and account professional want to join in BSNL at the prestigious post like DGM and similar qualified internal executives are forced to work at E1 or E2. In this situation, expectation of management from these executives to remain satisfied and productive for the company is quite illogical.
It seems that some executive associations are putting their all effort and feeling happy to get regularize some of the adhoc STS at the end of their career and ready to compromise every thing even feel no shame on bagging the things of right for some another qualified executives.
Beside end of the ITS RAJ, AIGETOA is demanding that every executive must be promoted with time bound manner like other PSUs according to their talent and qualification so we should not face such shameful situation of bagging for relaxation. Every qualified engineers and account professionals must be promoted to E4 in 9 years of service so that he can have 3 years of experience at E4 grade after completing 12 years of service.
Regarding the career progression of executives in BSNL AIGETOA has very fair and justified views:
Not only some chunk of the executives at the end of the career but all must be promoted with time bound manner up to the STS.
No external recruitment at any level other than E2 by undermining our own qualified executives but talent hunt should be within the company by imposing qualification bar and screening criteria for the post DGM and above.
Management has already agreed our demands regarding the career progression of executives with condition that other executives associations have no objection. It is really hard to understand why other executives associations are not agreeing while it is advantageous for all as well as growth of the company?
It is very fair and open appeal to all the executives to come forward with AIGETOA and help us to achieve the respect of every executive which is confined within ITS group only.
Miracle does not happen every time, destiny does not knock door frequently.
It is the time when we together can end the ITS Raj and all the executives can proudly say “yes” we are also the part of the management; we are not the bounded labor of these chunk bureaucrats. 18th August will prove our strength towards the revolution of freedom. All must move Delhi for “Operation Sacrifice: Death before Dishonor” without having any confusion and fear in mind. This is our last and final battle towards the welfare of the association.
