Details of Meeting with BCG, Director (HRD) Shri Gopal Das and Chairman of Committee, Shri R.K. Batra at Corporate Office on Tuesday, 31st March 2009.
Meeting with Boston Consultancy Group (BCG) :
CHQ President Shri N S Rao, CS HP Shri Ajit, and CHQ
coordinator Shri Amit Roy and Shri Sidharth had a meeting with BCG at 09:45 am
on official invitation regarding organizational restructuring. BCG presented the
detail views on the need to change the structure of the BSNL to survive in
competitive era. Three tire structure of DOT (CHQ-Circle-SSA) and single
monitoring for all the services is not relevant and it is time taking process.
BCG is planning to create some verticals with different group of services. The
session was very interactive. We can say that BCG is working with "right sprit
and right direction" as we wanted to. AIGETOA has close watch on the
activities and developments. In future, BCG has to take up the HR issue of BSNL
and we would have several meetings with BCG in future.
Meeting with Chairman of Committee, Shri R.K. Batra :
After meeting with BCG, CHQ President met with chairman of
the committee, Shri R K Batra for deliberation of our demands and followed
up the development. Shri Batra informed that report is about to complete and
will be submitted before CMD very shortly.
Meeting With Director (HRD), Shri Gopal Das :
President along with other delegates met to Director (HRD) and discussed the matters (PRC anomalies with 2005 batch and transfer cases) about which AIGETOA had to serve the notice for hunger protest. GM (Personnel) and GM (CA) were also present. After receiving the positive assurance, AIGETOA has decided to defer the agitational programme.
There was a long discussion regarding the fitment for 2005 batch finally director (HRD) decided to issue the circular to field units to stop recovery, if any and clarification would be asked from the DPE regarding the fitment. All the 2005 batch are requested to be patience, AIGETOA will definitely come out with 30% fitment for all. Although it is very clear from the presidential order itself that 30% fitment will be applicable for all the executives without any discrimination but doubt has created due to provision in HR package and rumors by some executive associations.
Regarding the inter circle transfer modification of LDCE qualified Director (HRD) once again instructed the GM (Personnel) to immediately look into the matter followed by which some spouse cases have been released on the same day. Other cases will be released very shortly. All should be ready to take any extreme step for any breach of commitment under unwarranted pressure of other associations.
Regarding the inter circle transfer cases of rule-8 in JTO
cadre, Director (HRD) clearly told that corporate has already issued the clear
instruction to the circle heads to consider the requests with the new joining.
All the circle secretaries are requested to follow up same with their respective
circle heads. In case of any adamancy, don’t hesitate to serve the notice for
protest in the circle level.
