Minutes of Circle Conference of AIGETOA Chennai Telephones

 The meeting started with the prayer song by the girl Harini.

The welcome of office bearers and members done by Smt. Priya.

The Finance Secretary, Shri M.S.Chandrasekar began the proceedings with the current financial statement of AIGETOA, Chennai.

The following technical papers are presented by our members .

3. Location Based Services by Shri Aemunathan

4. Leased Circuits and MPLS/VPN network by Shri V. Raghuraman

5. Next Generation Network by Shri T. RanjitKumar

6. DSS by Shri Kannan.

 

The presentations are thought worthy . The presentations are appreciated and well received by the CGM, CHQ/Circle body including members. Infact, Sanchar Soft is the inhouse product of Chennai developed by 4 GEJTOs and implemented through out the country.

     General Secretary’s Address

 

1. General Secretary thanked Circle President and CS for providing an opportunity to address the GEJTO’s and JAO’s.

2. This is His first address in South India  and highlighted various HR issues faced by GEJTO’s in BSNL. He is carried away by the technical presentations.

3. GS said that to motivate the GE’s in BSNL it should consider for time bound promotions and further said that BSNL should be nurture the GE only then talent can be retained in BSNL.

4. GS lamented that the management has said that JTO’s are not up to the mark by evaluating the JTO’s, without assigning any independent task to the GE’s.

5. GS said that the state-owned MTNL has recruited GEJTO’s as MT’s whereas BSNL is going for a separate recruitment of MT’s above the JTO cadre and said that  this will lead to frustration.

6. GS however said that JTO’s are not against the recruitment of Officers at any level above the JTO’s but is only willing to know what is the career and promotional avenues of young and dynamic JTO’s in this company.

7. GS said that in EPF case even there are many directives from EPF Commissioners, BSNL has not followed any directives.

8. GS said that GEJTO’s will not go in for any dharna which may affect the customers, but will not be tolerating if the hard-earned money of DRJTO’s and JAO’s are put to stake.

9. GS said that HR issue will be solved if the reporting structure of officers is changed by clustered approach. Here instead of E1 reporting to E2, and E2 reporting to E3, all the Officers in the E1, E2 and E3 are made to report to E4 level.

 

 

Vote of Thanks

 

       Shri R. Pagalavan proposed the vote of thanks. He thanked each of the members to undertake the work voluntarily and made this conference as a memorable one. He extends his thanks to All India President , General Secretary, Circle Secretary and Circle President for the happening of this first conference. He once again thanks the Chief General Manager Shri M.P. Velusamy for sparing his Valuable time with us.

Lunch:

 

All the members  were provided with good lunch along with dignitaries.

 

Election :

 

The  Same Circle body was elected unanimously except for vacancies. Shri Kannan GE-SDE-Tirutani , Shri. K. Senthil Kumar GEJTO-HRD MSC were selected unanimously as VP and ACS. STR/STP regions are attached with Chennai Body. In this regard, Shri. Suriender Kumar DRJAO –STP was unanimously elected as ACS.
