"To All the Qualified Executives of BSNL absorbed from DOT"

Respected Sir/Madam,

                     As we know that, BSNL management has notified for the recruitment of  management trainee at the level of STS for the post of JAG which is nothing but just to keep alive the ITS cadre and to block the career progression of existing qualified, able and deserving executives. We all of us, are very much familiar with capacity and working of various executives in BSNL and can say very confidently that qualified executives absorbed from DOT and recruited by BSNL are not inferior than any out side MT. Even these qualified executives can perform much better if opportunities provided at the higher level of management. More then 90% nature of work in the department are operation and maintenance related which require technical skill over the managerial. BSNL is already having young and experienced technically qualified executives to look after all such works. In this situation, needless introduction of out side Management Trainee with qualification of merely ME/M Tech/MBA and zero experience is not at all required. It is also the matter of fact that candidate from top-level management institute will not join BSNL, even it may be the way to appease the relative and friends and way-out high level corruption through back door entry for such prestigious post. Moreover,  every useless MT from the general institutes will cost around 20 Lacs burden in process of recruitment and training. We are not at all against the recruitment of Management Trainees but we are totally against the level of recruitment in the hierarchy that is unique in BSNL among more than 200 PSUs in India, which will certainly block our career progression.

 

If BSNL is in, any need of Management Trainees they can be recruited at the level of JTOs/JAOs and even experienced professional manager at the higher level that should be in reference to already recruited engineers and at par with other CPSUs of India. All the CPSUs of the India are recruiting MT at level of engineering trainees even MTNL has recruited MT at the level of JTOs/JAOs. There are almost 8000 vacancies at STS and qualified executive of BSNL are having full right on these vacancies so that they can reach up to the top level of the hierarchy. We are not having the bad feelings even about the non qualified executives, they must be provided with time bound scale to secure their financial benefits but post bound only to the deserving candidates for the better satisfaction of our esteemed customers and the quality image of our organization in the era of high technology and advance customer which will increase the productivity and profitability of the organization and in turn prosperity of every employees.

Sir, you might have remembered the protest of ITS officers against the introduction of IAS officer in DOT to secure their career progression. Now AIGETOA is going to defeat the inauspicious intension of BSNL management to recruit MT at the level of STS for the post of JAG by staging countrywide agitation and protest from 17th Nov. 2008 onwards. We are going for indefinite mass protest in terms of Dharna at corporate office, New Delhi from 1st Dec. 2008.

 

Sir, we are in need of your valuable support and I would request you to unify together by joining our association or support us from out side for our ongoing agitation to stop the MT above ET (i.e. JTO/JAO in BSNL) and to secure the future of qualified executives along with the BSNL.
