United forum of BSNL Executives’ Associations AIGETOA,SNEA (India), AIBSNLEA and along with CS of BSNLEU ,NFTE BSNL,SNATTA of Calcutta Telephones met CMD BSNL on 04.05.2012 at Calcutta
Circle Secretaries of AIGETOA / SNEA (I) /AIBSNLEA/BSNLEU/SNATTA/NFTEBSNL along with other Office bearers met CMD, BSNL 04.05.2012 in Conference Room Telephone Bhawan at Kolkata.
CMD along with ED( New Business) was on Visit to Kolkata to discuss various issues including Telecom Factories issues. In spite of Busy Schedule of CMD, CGM Calcutta Telephones made the kind arrangement of CMD meeting with Associations and unions.
In his speech, CMD informed that BSNL is Suffering from hypercompetitive telecom Market and the FY 2011-12 is the Straight third year when BSNL has made loss and for the FY 2011-12 loss is in the tune of 6000 to 7000 Crore.
He Categorically mentioned that, after joining as CMD BSNL he has tried his level best and removed all the bottlenecks regarding Procurement of CLIP Phones, UG Cables, Broadband CPE , OFC Cables and GSM Equipments.
He also mentioned that Supply of CLIP phones in the Fields has been Started, along with the supply of UG/OFC Cables and the Supply of Broadband CPEs will be commenced within 6 to 8 weeks. APO for GSM Equipments has been accepted by the Vendors and Circles are being authorized to prepare individual PO for the Procurements.
On revenue front, he explained that in the year 2010-11, revenue from operation has increased, but at the same time Expenditures have gone up Causing widening of losses.
He emphasized that 10 to 15% increase in revenue will simply neutralize the increase in Expenditures in Salary, Electricity, Fuel Expenses, inflation etc. Further increase in revenue is the need of hour through Expansion of Mobile, Broadband and effective utilization of BSNL Bfone and other resources already available with BSNL.
It was mentioned that BSNL is now facing cash crunch and No Bank or Financial institutions will give us Loan for Paying the Salary of Employee. They can provide loan only for justified and Viable Business Cases.
So, He appealed to all the Associations and Unions that this is the high time that every employees have to put Service before self.
He told that he along with all High level officers are trying to Cross all the hurdles in Corporate and seek the support from all level of Officers and employee to put their 100% to regain the lost glory of BSNL.
He assured us that with Joint effort of Management and Employee, We will again feel proud to be associated with our beloved Organization BSNL.
Common Memorandum from All the Association/Unions handed over to CMD, and CMD Mentioned that he will see all the points of the memorandum in Delhi and reply will also be sent to Circle on the issues raised.

Later CS/AIGETOA Shri Deepak Kumar Sahoo met with CMD BSNL to discuss about CPSU hierarchy and Result of LDCE held in March 2012 for JTO(T) to SDE(T).
CMD informed that, he is currently busy with ITS absorption issue and soon he will also look into CPSU hierarchy, about the result he mentioned that he is also in Charge of Dir (HR) and very soon the result will be declared.
