Details of CS, CP visit of Maharashtra Circle Office:

Shri Ramesh Prasad (Circle Secretary) & Shri Riyajahmed Patvekar (Circle President) along with Shri Makarand Giramkar (Vice President). AIGETOA MH Circle had a visited Circle Office Mumbai on 27th April 2012. In meeting with GM (HR & Admin) Shri Jairaman, various issues of executives in MH circle were discussed. GM (HR & Admin) shows great concern over these issues. Following issues are discussed.

• Confirmation of 2007 batch JTOs: As promised in the earlier meeting process regarding this, already started like calling of last three years ACRs of JTOs. Soon the process will be completed and confirmation orders will be issued.

• Transfers: Present transfer policy of executives in MH circle is discussed in details. We have urged GM (HR & Admin) to have transparency in transfer policy. GM (HR & Admin) along with AGM (Staff) Shri Sule explained transfer policy adopted. We have taken genuine transfer cases of or members with circle management. They assured us that they will consider genuine cases.

We have expressed our objections on certain points like consideration of applications after 4 years instead of 2 years for the request transfers. Transfers for spouse working cases, 58 years above age and more than 10 years working cases are suppose to be issued in next week. SDE request transfers will be issued soon.

• EPF issue: On hearing the EPF issues from our side, GM (HR & Admin) called Accounts Officer Mrs. Sartita Thakur who is dealing with EPF issues in Circle office. We have demanded following points to be taken for EPF issues. Publish the names of Nodal officers SSAs wise who are dealing with EPF activities and fix responsibilities on them.
Call status of Fund transfer from old account to new account from each SSA. Give the time frame to each nodal officer to settle this issue. Give the instructions to issue Form 3A and Form 6A to every employee before 30th April of each year positively. Kindly arrange to issue form 3A and 6A for last 10 financial years up to FY 2011-12.

It is understood that Nodal officer in-charge (Accounts Officer) at Circle office is having additional charge of EPF. We feel that this is the major cause of all the mess and subsequent delays. It is requested to post Accounts officer (EPF) especially for this purpose (remember there are more than 2500 employees in MH circle having EPF accounts including GE-JTOs, GE-SDEs, DR JAOs, DR AOs & DR TTAs).

We are thankful to GM (HR & Admin) Shri G. Jai Raman sir for taking quick actions on very guanine issues pending from last several years. He assured to call meeting in chairmanship of CGMT MH circle for EPF issues.

• Meeting with PGM (Finance), MH Circle: In a meeting with PGM Finance we have briefed him the serious issues of EPF and urged him to appoint dedicated Accounts Officer to resolve issues instead of giving the additional charge. He told us about shortage of staff but it is not convincing as we know the fact that When GPF issues of thousands of employees is being taken by the present staff, why the issue of few hundred employees is not being taken care from last Ten years. We requested him to appoint nodal officers at SSAs for EPF issues and publish their names and fix responsibilities on them. PGM (Finance) expressed need to develop module in HRMS package to generate Form 3A and 6A. We request him to take the issue with CGM ITPC to implement it. PGM (Finance) assured to take every step to solve this issue as early as possible.

• Meeting with Regional Provident Fund Commissioner Shri Bhanage & RPFC II Mrs. Sawant Bandra: We had meeting with EPF authorities and informed them seriousness of problem. RPFC II Mrs. Sawant madam informed us that account updation of BSNL employees started by EPFO and appointed an official for it. She also called concern official who is dealing with accounting of BSNL. She told us that some information given by BSNL is not matching. Also she informed us that there are huge no of RTI filed by BSNL employees and they have to reply these RTIs in stipulated period. This is affecting speed of account settlements. We asked her about any documents pending from BSNL and requested her to take action on employer strictly as per EPF rules. She assured us to act promptly if observed such thing. We also told her to consult all SROs of EPF in Maharashtra and told them to transfer funds in old accounts to new accounts without Form13. It is to clear that we should not submit Form 13A as our employer is not changed. Just BSNL has to supply concern EPF SRO old and new account no of each employee. In last she assured that soon they will finish accounting and we will get EPF slips. Online accounts will also be modified. She requested us to inform our members not to file RTIs as it is slowing down their work speed.

After our Dashing GS Visit in Maharashtra circle, All DRS Gets inspired started joining hand with AIGETOA Maharashtra. Now feel good atmosphere created all over MH.
