Overwhelming response of executives and employees -GHIS

Dear All,

We humbly place our sincere gratitude to one and all who helped to successfully visualize the concept of Group Health Insurance Policy by AIGETOA from one of the largest Insurer (which is a PSU) i.e. New India Assurance and Industry’s Best TPA i.e. M/S Medi Assist.

It was a mammoth task and overwhelming response of executives and employees further multi-folded the responsibilities. But we are happy to intimate that under matured, composed and dynamic leadership of Shri Ravi Shil Verma AIP and Shri Wasi Ahmad General Secretary, the unbeatable Team AIGETOA once again proved its worthiness and professionalism to handle the responsibilities successfully. Here, we would also like to name few heroes who worked tirelessly behind the curtain to make it possible and they are Shri Pavan Akhand AGS, Shri Yogendra Jharwal FS, Shri Amit Roy Advisor, Shri B Laxman, Chairman, GHI Team Members, all CHQ Members alongwith Circle Team.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to all Employees of BSNL, who have shown faith and opted the policy in the just concluded window by crossing the position, cadre, stream irrespective of the association affiliations. This is one of the basic ethos of United efforts and we stand by this unity.

Hereafter, our responsibilities have increased many fold to scrutiny the data and handover the errorless information to the New India Assurance alongwith the corresponding fund to start the policy at the earliest and ensure a hassle free service.

We assure once again that one more extension window shall be opened for all those, who couldn’t make it due to multiple reasons after start of the Policy. Policy Coverage of all those who were within the threshold window shall start from the first week and for remaining those who got themselves registered and made payment by Midnight of 30th April 2021, the policy Coverage will start from the Second week’ of May 2021.

Further, we once again reaffirm our commitment that providing health services to Employees is the responsibility of the employer (BSNL) and it will be ensured by association. We have already initiated discussion in this regard with the management and they have also shown positive response and assessing the proposal to start Health Insurance for the employees instead of complete dependency on BSNL MRS.

We thank one and all who contributed directly or indirectly in this noble cause.

Update-Group Health Insurance

Dear All,

We are thankful for the overwhelming response to the policy. We wish to inform that the threshold of the Policy Approval has crossed it’s limit now and accordingly it will take some time to complete the procedure for updating the policy for the remaining persons.

The coverage of the persons who are beyond the threshold list shall start in the second week of May, 2021.

The current registration window shall remain open till midnight today but coverage of all such persons will start in second week of May 2021.

We will again OPEN THE REGISTRATION PROCESS subsequently as an extension window for the persons who couldn’t opt for the Policy today.

Payment of Salary on Last Working Day of the Month:

In continuity, GS AIGETOA has taken up the matter of Salary Payment on last working day of the month with Director (HR) on 29.04.2021. He apprised the Director (HR) about grim situation of employees across the BSNL due to multifold increase in the COVID Cases with more deadly effect. He apprised the Director HR about sad demises of more than thirty employees in just few days and hospitalization of many others due to the ongoing Pandemic. This has shaken thousands of BSNL family and employees are keenly looking towards the management in this hour of crisis. We extend our thanks to the management for release of the order for Medical Advance but timely payment of Salary is a must. The Director (HR) also showed concern for each member of the BSNL family and their wellbeing and assured management support but at the same time apprised about the poor collection. We have told that poor collection can’t be accepted as a reason for delay in payment of Salary, especially when we have received a record collection in the last month.

We have requested Director (HR) to utilise whatsoever the methodology or routes but the Salary should be ensured on time as every family is battling this Crisis and Salary is the only support. We can’t bear any delay in the salary and if needs arise; the association will reach out to the government also for the purpose.

Medical Advance for BSNL Employees To Meet Medical Exigencies in the Pandemic

As pursued and informed earlier by AIGETOA, it is learnt that Finally BSNL CO has agreed for provisioning of funds to Circles for grant of Medical advance to Employees for treatment of Covid. AIGETOA has been consistently pursuing with management for Covid Vaccination and direction to circles for grant of advance to Employees for Indoor Treatment in this Pandemic.

Accordingly, it is learnt that management has agreed to this and shall be issuing funds to circles for immediate grant of medical advances to all such employees to meet medical exigencies. We extend our heartfelt thanks to AIGETOA BSNL CO Team under the guidance of All India President and General Secretary, whose PERSUASION ensured this crucial decision at the time of Pandemic. Yesterday BSNL CO issued instructions to circles for provisioning of free vaccination from BSNL to its employees, which was our demand ever since vaccine has been launched for Covid-19.

AIGETOA extends its thanks to management specially Director HR and Sr GM Admin BSNL CO for realizing the importance of such crucial directions at the time of this pandemic.

The much awaited Group Health Insurance Policy Powered by AIGETOA is finally live now. It’s our pleasure to inform you that we have brought the largest insurance agency and the largest and number one ranked TPA i.e. Medi Assist together at the lowest premium.

The window for opting will be opened for a limited period and the coverage of the policy will start from the first week of May 2021. Those interested can opt the scheme and avail the facilities, which is one of the best negotiated group policy at a very optimal amount.

It is requested to kindly fill all the related details properly and correctly of your family like name, Aadhaar Number, Nominee Name etc. Name should be as per your Aadhaar Card. By Filling details correctly it will enable the Insurance company to verify the data easily without error. Further we would like to advise all that before proceeding for payment, verify the details minutely and if any modification is to be made, do it. Only after ascertaining accuracy of all the details filled by you, proceed for payment because after payment you will not be able to modify the data. In case of child below three years, Aadhar number is optional.

Friends, visualising the current scenario and seeing the situation, AIGETOA has decided to go for a group policy contributed by employees in the best interest of all but we once again reaffirm that we are firmly committed to get the coverage for all employees by the employer that is BSNL and our endeavour for the same will continue.

Withholding of One Day Organizational Program called by AIGETOA to observe 22.04.2021 as “PROTEST DAY” by applying Leave

AIGETOA has given a call to the executives to apply for one day leave to seek the attention of the management on the long pending HR issues. We are happy to note that management has taken note of prevailing resentment amongst the executives. The huge support in the form of number of applied leaves around 8500 in number itself says a lot about the level of unrest, which is stepping into minds of all executives because of the lackadaisical approach of the management towards resolution of long pending HR issues, related to pay, pension and promotion.

AIGETOA thanks all the executives for their huge support on the call of association to observe 22nd April as protest day.

This association received appeal and request from BSNL management to withdraw the notice for protest day on 22.04.2021 considering present Covid-19 pandemic situation across the country firm assurance for the settlement of long pending HR issues and also agenda meeting is proposed to be held on 10.05.2021.

The grim situation about the prevailing Covid-19 pandemic across the country & sad demise of many of our BSNL colleagues and two appeals issued by the management was discussed amongst all CHQ OBs and Circle Secretaries. It was concluded that the program for applying leave and showing the resentment to management is hugely successful and the purpose of seeking the attention of management towards the settlement of the long pending HR issues is successful. In the current pandemic, many of our colleagues are adversely affected and struggling hard to cope up with current scenario and working of almost all the offices are hugely affected by Covid-19 . After giving thought to all the aspects and also to the fact that basic intent of this call was to seek the attention of management which is successful, we have unanimously decided to halt the proposed Protest Day Call. We have conveyed to management that instead of assurances, now we need firm Resolution on board while sitting on the table for agenda meeting on 10th May 2021.

Friends, we expect firm and concrete solutions from BSNL Management and expect a positive outcome on the genuine demands raised on the day failing which we are ready for the next stage of organisational actions. Association will review the outcome of agenda meeting to be held on 10th May 2021 and will decide the next course of action accordingly. In case management fails to address the HR issue & to initiate firm action for time bound resolution of the issues, AIGETOA will serve the notice for further organisational action program. The success of current call has given extra confidence to the leadership and we are very sure, with your firm and similar unqualified support, we will be able to achieve the long pending HR issues. The path containing mix of PURSUASION, Deliberation and Hard Actions shall continue till we are successful in achieving the objective. We once again thank one and all for making this mass leave program hugely successful.

4th Circle Conference of AIGETOA HP Circle

4th Circle Conference of HP Circle was conducted successfully as per the constitution of AIGETOA on 18th April 2021 through online video conferencing mode.

The Chief Guest of the function was CGMT HP Circle and guests of honour were Shri Ravi Shil Verma AIP, Shri Wasi Ahmad GS and all senior officers of HP Circle attended the program. Shri Ajit Singh JS (North) and Shri Ajay Kaswan CHQ Advisor participated the event and acted as Observer in behalf of AIGETOA CHQ.

World Equality Day – “Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar Jayanti”

Dear Colleagues and Seniors,

On this day of 14 th April, we should not only remember the great personality of most respected “Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar” and pay our tributes to him but we should also take a pledge to save the constitution of our country then it will be real tribute to the great Baba Saheb.

The constitution provides equal rights to all citizens of the country and it is soul of the Nation. We should also remember the lesson of Baba Saheb about educate, unite and struggle to uplift the social dignity of downtrodden people and always keep trying to fulfill his dreams.

On behalf of our entire members in particular and all people in general, We pay my respectful tribute to Baba saheb and salute him on his 130th birthday.
